LEAVING MY MARK
Leaving My Mark, was created in the early days of COVID. One reason had to do with my age — I am now over 70 years old. As a no-longer-young woman, it seems as if I am now perceived by many almost as if I have no opinion that matters—another older woman who can be easily dismissed. The last reason I hooked this piece was as a response to the crazy times we are living through this year. In the very beginning of COVID-19 virus’s life I realized that, because of my age, this could easily take me out and what would be left?
